During the height of the pandemic, I’m sure that we’ve all suffered from the effects of supply chains being severed, from shortages and outrageous price spikes in many basic commodities such as food, medicine, and most recently personal protective equipment such as masks, and face shields. We’ve also realized the convenience of online shopping, and other forms of delivery services, wherein products can be ordered from the comfort of your own home, with nothing but a mere push of a button, and all you have to do is wait for shipping. Fast forward to two years later, these services have become an essential part of our everyday lives.

But I’m willing to wager that a majority of the population tend to overlook the complexity as well as the importance of trucking and shipping. But this article will offer a few reasons why trucking services matter wherever you are in the Philippines.

• First things first, every business relies on shipping services on some level. Whether it is a large manufacturing plant or a construction site that relies on trucking in order to deliver raw materials to a site, or a store that relies on trucks to deliver products to stock on the shelves.

2. Trucking Services are an Essential Part of the Online Shopping Experience.

• It doesn’t matter which online shopping platform you prefer to use, or which part of the country or even the world the product you order comes from. At one point or another, when the plane lands on the runway and/or the ship docks at the port, those parcels will see the inside of a truck. Whether it is on route to a sorting center, or when shipping it to your home address.

3. Trucking Services Provide Employment

• Trucking as a profession can be described in many ways. For one thing it is an often overlooked and underrated profession and service. It is also as I have pointed out essential to maintain the economic stability and the convenience many people take for granted. Most importantly of all, trucking is a very difficult and often dangerous job, as drivers often have to stay up for long periods of time hauling large amounts of consumer goods and raw materials sometimes through treacherous terrain. 

In conclusion, though trucking services in the Philippines are largely underrated and overlooked, the role this industry plays is vital not only to the economy of the country but to the economies of the rest of the world as well.
