Trucking Services You Didn’t Know Exist
Who would have known trucking companies provide various types of services? Certainly not me! I have always thought that trucking services in the Philippines are confined to merely transporting goods from one point to another. Allow me to make up for my ignorance and share what I have discovered:
It’s more than one option
There are various types of trucking services in the Philippines that you can choose from. You can choose the best method that fits your transportations needs -- shipment, schedule, location, budget, and others.
Less Than Truckload or Partial Truckload
Let’s just say this works like a carpool, only with your goods as the passenger sharing a ride with other goods. Since your cargo doesn’t fill an entire truck (but is over 100lbs.), an economical way to ship it is via LTL. You only pay for the space your cargo occupies, but in turn gives you less control over the routes and timing.
Full Truckload
As the name suggests, this works as a dedicated full freight truck for your cargo. With this, you have the voice to command and demand regarding schedule and routes.
Refrigerated or Reefer Trucks
If you are shipping perishable goods, reefer or refrigerated trucks are your best option because they are temperature-controlled. Apart from schedule and route, specific conditions can be controlled such as temperature and humidity.
Expedited Trucking Service
Do you need the cargo delivered pronto? There is also a trucking service available for you. This option is considered when the cargo is too large or too fragile to ship via air freight.
White Glove Service
Yup, you read that right! White glove service is also one of the trucking services in the Philippines. This special shipping service includes personnel directly taking care of the packing prior to leaving, loading onto the truck, and unpacking the items upon arrival at the destination. This is best for very fragile goods.
It can be digital and a lot more
Digital warehousing – yes, trucking services in the Philippines can also include inventory management systems that allow tracking the inbound and outbound movement of your goods, generation of reports, rotating stock, and offer solutions for refunds and backorders.
It is apparent that trucking services in the Philippines are keeping up with the demands of the modern market. I can’t wait to discover more about the latest innovations this industry offers!
